Dealing with the Social Isolation of the Covid-19 Pandemic

The Director-General of the organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in a statement to WHO Member States, said the panel will be co-chaired by former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Operating independently, the chairpersons will select other Panel members as well as other independent members that will provide support.
At the 73rd World Health Assembly in May, Member States adopted a landmark resolution that called on the WHO to initiate an independent evaluation of the global response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, to gather the lessons learnt and design a new roadmap for pandemic preparedness.
