The problem according to this study done among Americans is that people often don't discuss their fears with clinicians and are unaware of effective steps to preserve brain health. Supplements and crossword puzzles are example of common practices that people adopt though they have not been found to be effective in large clinical studies. In contrast, a good diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and maintenance of a healthy blood pressure and blood sugar are a good starting point to preserve brain health.
