Deep Vein Thrombosis: Dangerous blood clot

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a condition where blood clots form in a deep vein. This may happen due to long-term immobilization, pregnancy, being overweight, family history of DVT, history of cancer or heart failure, smoking, dehydration, and so on.

DVT is a serious condition that can lead to sudden death. Many people are unaware of the signs and symptoms or simply brush it aside as a simple leg cramp or a passing chest pain.
