Can cholesterol level be too low?

Women with levels of LDL cholesterol (often called bad cholesterol) of 70 mg/dL or lower were found to be more than twice as likely to have a stroke from bleeding into the brain than women with LDL cholesterol levels from 100 to 130 mg/dL. Women with the lowest triglyceride levels, a form of fat found in the blood, also had an increased risk of bleeding stroke compared to those with the highest triglyceride levels.
