There are many known benefits of eating plant-based foods. Add heart failure to the list. Notably, the food types described as plant-based in this research included vegetables, fruits, fish, and beans.
On the other hand, diets that contained a lot of fried and processed foods and sweetened drinks increased the risk of heart failure. Heart failure is one of those diseases where an ounce of prevention is truly worth more than a pound of cure.
