
What is Alzheimer's Disease (AD)?
Alzheimer's is a progressive brain disease that affects memory and other essential mental (cognitive and behavioral) functions. It is a type of dementia. It usually occurs after the age of 65.
Common symptoms of Alzheimer's include Memory loss, Confusion, Mood swings, Hallucination, Depression, Appetite loss and difficulty with some movements.
Alzheimer's Disease does not have a cure, but there are treatments which can help slow down its progression.
